Help us build something schools can trust. Pilot schools shape the product.
Small, private, and measured from day one.
A small group of teachers and students uses a private, hosted instance in your region. Before we start, we agree with you what success looks like and how we’ll measure it.
A fair exchange.
What we ask
- A few teachers willing to try it with a class
- Honest feedback
- A privacy and safety contact at your school
- Time to agree success measures with us at the start
What you get
- A say in how it’s built
- A private instance hosted in your region
- Direct access to the team
- Clear, plain data terms
Pilot terms, including any fees, are discussed directly.
The plain version.
On our hosted service, student data is held in our systems, in your region (Canada or US), under a data-processing agreement with your school. The school is the data controller. We act on your behalf. During the beta, Trailpost runs on our shared hosted service. To write an answer, it sends the student’s question and the source text it found to an AI model service (OpenRouter and the model company behind it). It doesn’t send names, email addresses or class details. When your school signs on, we set up your own Trailpost instance, and student questions no longer go to any outside AI service.
